Along came a spider

First off, I got to say that the colors are really eye-catching and match the mood of the photo terrifically! I like how you have the light based at the top half of the picture, as well as coming from behind the spider, making it into a silhouette.
Setting it all at an angle adds oomph in telliing the viewer that the weird world of a spider is rather freaky in that it can go pretty much where it wants to.
One thing that would be nice, however, is if the web strands on the right were just a little bit more clearly seen. Nothing big.
Well, one last thing is that I like the fact that the spider isn't at the center of the photo. You don't get a sense of it being 'propped and posed', but rather that it's alive and ready to crawl out from the screen onto your lap!
