You know...I've never taken a picture of fireworks that has made me happy. Harder than it might seem. I would also like to capture lightning...something that has also been so-far illusive. This picture reminds me of those fractal images, only from a real-life situation.
My 1st attempts at shooting fireworks made me frown. I was going for a traditional 'pretty fireworks' pics I seen aplenty.
On the 2nd attempt, I had no tripod and discovered that the shots were wildly different from what I wanted, buy way more interesting. So.... Now, I never use a tripod, go with long exposures and I move the camera around while the shutter is open and that's how I taught my six year old to shoot fireworks!
I enjoy doing pics like that myself, but I truly would like to capture some crisp images too. Check out Evan's awesome pics. He's becoming quite a stormchaser. I have tried to emulate a number of his pictures, with varying degrees of success.
