February 2nd- Bear Hug

calloused fingers so gentle
rough yet healing like a balm
giving into his embrace
greedy for his touch

February 3rd- Halloween

a night where faeries parade
vampires dance with demons
sugar is their drug of choice
that’s All Hollow’s Eve

February 4th- untitled yet clearly inspired by all the snow I’ve been seeing.

dark at five o’clock
a biting chill creeping in
welcome home winter

February 5th- letting go

tear drops ran screaming
leaving trails of salt on my cheeks
silent goodbye

mommy wears a mask
of kind eyes and smiles to hide
retractable fangs

February 7th- my swirling garden

lost inside the looking glass
twitter-pated butterflies

Ensnare the senses

stars and snow shining

against a whirlwind of white

I escaped my chrysalis

Crocuses abloom
Always popping up purple
Reaching for the sun

The crowd begs and screams and shouts

Howling during the encore’s
Final Crescendo

Snap Dragon
Reaching for the sun
Sipping morning rain

February 26th- I need a fix

My morning glory
My caffeine and nicotine
All about guilty pleasures

soul weaved out of apps
system failure
