Little Shroom

This is my first critique (ever!), so please forgive me if it is unpolished... Cindi did a great job getting down and close to her subject with this image and the use of depth of field is quite well done - though I might have closed down the aperture a stop or two as part of the shroom is oof and I would've liked the complete subject to be in focus. That being said, the diffuse bokeh in the background really helps emphasize what the viewer should be looking at.

I like the angle chosen in this deviation - getting down to the level of her subject puts the shroom in context with the grass around it. I also like the water or dew found in this image as it adds interest to the subject. And I also really like how interest is added by the deformation of the shroom. The reflections cause by the moisture and the deformity of the subject help offset the fact that an image of a small mushroom in grass might not be of interest to many viewers.

Overall, I think this deviation is a solid effort.
