First Impression: The flowers of fruit trees are always beautiful. I am the sort who can loose myself in a the solitary pear tree in my own front year. This is a very good picture of a beautiful subject.

Color: Using the natural colors is a great choice for this shot [if you did any post production / manipulation, I did not catch it. I had to look twice to see the red pink and ivory as the same flowers in different phases of maturity. [not many apple trees bloom where I live, so I'm not as familiar with these as my beloved drupes and pears.]

Lighting: natural light is always my preference for botanical shots. It looks like you had a perfect morning to shoot this. I'm guessing a good polarized sun filter helped you out a little here.

Composition: Nice grouping of blossoms. Your chosen depth of focus works for this subject. I know some would argue that forcing the background blur might have made the shot more "Artistic" since that is somewhat trendy right now. you chose the right balance between clinical clarity [which you use to great effect in some of your other floral pictures] focus and leaving your viewer with no sense of place or perspective. My only question here is if a touch more green might have given the pop to keep the viewers eye moving, or pull the balance point a little off center.

Overall: I like the fact you used a day old flower with the pollen masses starting to age and the rust from a previous day's rain or dew so close to the focal point. I don't know if it was your intent, but It think you gave a sense of time to what appears to be a finite time slice that is gone in mere days. The triangle bottom right from bud, barely out of sharp focus to the petals of the new blossom to the bloom past its prime and focus receding is a great touch. In accepting the natural process, you have elevated your subject from recording what you saw [because any camera can do that] to Art that will outlast the seasons harvest.
